I {heart} HEARTS!

I am finally getting around to adding a few Valentines Day touches. Have I mentioned that my husband is a bit  ALL manly man? I mean literally when we got married the pastor described us as "the mountain man that met the princess." So, needless to say, PINK is not an option in our house unless it is in our daughters room. But, don't worry I found a few subtle ways to bring some romance of the V-day holiday to our home... shhh! Don't tell him there are HEARTS lurking in the corners.

Vintage Vignette

I spent all last evening rearranging our "decor" after taking down our Christmas stuff... My husband watched and chuckled as he asked "So, I guess I better get used to coming home to a new living room every couple months?" Of course, I'm thrilled that a simple remix makes it feel like a whole new room.

Here's a look at one of my projects...

I redid this shelf with some of my favorite things...

Cigar boxes and antique pharmacy bottles...

I like the hints of teal color mixed in to go with my scale...

Blue Mason Jar...

Hope it inspires you to look at your old things in a new way...

Blessings!

Introducing...B&B Bath Salts Mason Jars

Happy New Year Everyone!

Well, it has taken me awhile to recover from the holidays. We were so blessed to spend great time with family and friends... We were home in Southern Cali for Christmas and on New Year's Eve I had 5 sleepy kiddos camped out in my living room. We have more family coming to visit for a late Christmas get together next weekend. Needless to say, blogging has been put off as I get my house and family back in order.

But, I'm back and have a fun post to share today!

Over the break, I discovered how wonderful it can be to take a bubble bath ( I know, novel idea for us moms sometimes!) I took a little time to pamper myself and was inspired to make some lovely bath salts... I had been looking for some bath products that I could leave out in a basket as bathroom decor but couldn't find anything that really fit my taste... So I decided to take it on as a DIY project.

Take a look!
